We did not applique the Center Block of the quilt so we did not add the additional 1 1/2yards the pattern calls for to applique the center Basket. When we made our sample, we had enough fabrics left from the crazy quilt blocks use for the applique pieces if you choose to do so! We also added a crazy quilt border to the top and bottom of the quilt. There is enough fabric in the kit to do this as well.
